Care

Spiš Travertine is a calcium stone: seal it after installation and again every year or two, clean it with a pH-neutral stone soap, and wipe up lemon, vinegar and wine rather than leaving them to etch the polish. Felt pads under furniture and a doormat at the door do more than any product. How to care for natural stone →

Questions about Spiš Travertine

What is Spiš Travertine?

Can Spiš Travertine go outdoors?

Yes; travertine is the classic terrace and pool-surround stone. Outdoors we supply Spiš Travertine unfilled or tumbled so wet feet grip; indoors it is honed and filled.

What finishes and sizes does Spiš Travertine come in?

Spiš Travertine is supplied honed and filled as standard, polished or brushed on request and unfilled for outdoor floors, as full slabs, cut-to-size, book-matched pairs, typically 18–20 mm; other thicknesses on request. Slab sizes vary lot to lot, so we send the measurements and photographs of the actual slabs before anything is confirmed.

Where can I see Spiš Travertine slabs?

Stocked slabs stand to be seen at the Flora Marble gallery in Vile Parle East, Mumbai, a few minutes from the airport (open mon–sat, 10 am – 7 pm); a catalogue stone is sourced to order and shown to you before you commit. Does Flora Marble deliver Spiš Travertine to Bengaluru?

How is Spiš Travertine priced?

Per project, slab by slab: the slabs selected, their sizes, the finish and the cutting all move the figure, so there is no list price online.
