Travertine in Mumbai
The warm, pitted stone of Rome — quieter than marble, softer in colour, at home on a feature wall, a terrace or a whole-house floor. Selected at the quarry, filled and finished in our own factory.

Why travertine is back
Travertine's soft beiges, silvers and walnuts, its linear banding and its honest, porous texture suit the calmer interiors people now want — it reads as warm and lived-in where a polished marble reads as formal. It is also forgiving: a honed, filled travertine floor hides the small marks a life leaves on it.
Filled or unfilled, vein-cut or cross-cut
Travertine's natural pits can be filled at the factory for a smooth, easily cleaned surface, or left open for texture on a wall. Vein-cut slabs show the banding as long lines; cross-cut slabs show it as clouds. Imported blocks are cut, polished and finished at our own marble-processing factory in Naroli, Silvassa, so we control quality from the block to the finished slab.
Questions we are asked
Is travertine suitable for Mumbai's climate?
Yes. Filled and sealed travertine handles humidity well and has been used outdoors for two thousand years. Keep standing water off it and clean with pH-neutral products, as with any natural stone.
Can travertine be used on a floor?
Yes — filled and honed, travertine makes a warm, forgiving floor. Unfilled travertine is better kept for walls, where the open texture is the point.
