Flora Marble's gallery is in the Main Marble Market on the Western Express Highway service road, Vile Parle East, Mumbai, near Hotel Sahara Star, open Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 7 PM. From Bengaluru the practical way in is a flight to Mumbai: the gallery is 5 km from the airport, about 10 minutes by road. Stocked slabs stand there to be seen in person; catalogue stones are sourced to order and shown before you commit.
Most buyers from Bengaluru start with the drawings and the stone they have in mind: we quote against them, show the numbered slabs we propose, and nothing is cut until the lot is agreed. Every slab is cut, resin-treated and polished at our own factory in Athal, Silvassa, 1,110 km from Bengaluru by road, so the book-matched pair, the honed finish or the cut-to-size piece comes from the same block as the slab you chose.
Bengaluru: homes, towers, hotels and offices
Bengaluru's houses in Sadashivanagar, Koramangala and Indiranagar, the villas of Whitefield and the Sarjapur road, and the office campuses along the Outer Ring Road order stone by the house and by the floor; the slabs are chosen in Mumbai and sent by road.
Beige marbles such as Botticino, Ottoman and Moca Capria are laid across whole floors, chosen as one lot so the tone holds from the entrance to the last bedroom. Italian whites, Statuario and Calacatta, take the living-room wall, the kitchen island and the pooja room. Granite, polished or leathered, takes steps, terraces, kitchen platforms and the outside of the house.
For towers and hotels, selected blocks and slab lots are held in the project's name so vein, tone and finish stay the same across the whole quantity; book-matched pairs, mitred edges and step profiles are prepared at Silvassa before the crates are packed.
Delivery to Bengaluru
Slabs and cut-to-size pieces go by road freight from the factory at Athal, Silvassa, 1,110 km from Bengaluru, crated and strapped for the distance, and the date is confirmed with each order. Every slab is inspected, numbered and photographed before it is loaded, so what arrives can be checked against what was chosen.
Flora Marble supplies Bengaluru Urban district and the rest of Karnataka from Silvassa and Mumbai, and projects across India.
