Our story
Chosen with care
Flora Marble began in Mumbai in 1994 with a simple belief: that natural stone deserves to be chosen with care and presented with respect. Every block has a story written over millennia, and no two slabs are ever the same.
We travel to the quarries and hand-select each lot for its character, movement and quality — from the white marbles of the Apuan Alps to rare stones gathered from across the world. We then import the blocks and finish them slab by slab at our own factory in Silvassa, before bringing them together for the architects, designers and builders who shape remarkable spaces.
Our work is as much about presentation as it is about product. Our stocked slabs stand in the gallery to be seen and touched, and catalogue stones are sourced to order from the quarry — so discovering a material online and seeing it in person are never far apart.

We travel to the quarries and hand-select each lot, then bring it home to Mumbai — from the Apuan Alps of Italy to the highlands of Iran and the hills of Brazil. The lit routes mark where we import from; the paler points, the world’s other great quarries.

Most stone sellers only import and trade. We run the whole process ourselves — at our own marble factory in Naroli, Silvassa, imported blocks are cut, polished and finished slab by slab. Because we control every step, the piece you choose is the piece you receive.
