Questions about Deccan Jasper
What is Deccan Jasper?
Deccan Jasper is semi-precious stone from India. It is a slab of gemstone pieces set in clear resin, cut and polished like marble. Flora Marble imports it as blocks and slabs and cuts and finishes it at its own factory at Athal, Silvassa.
Can Deccan Jasper be backlit?
Yes; Deccan Jasper is cut as a resin-bound slab that light passes through, and we can supply it as a backlit panel for a wall, a bar front or a reception desk.
What finishes and sizes does Deccan Jasper come in?
Deccan Jasper is supplied polished as resin-bound slabs or cut-to-size panels, backlit panels on request, typically 18–20 mm; other thicknesses on request. Slab sizes vary lot to lot, so we send the measurements and photographs of the actual slabs before anything is confirmed.
Where can I see Deccan Jasper slabs?
Stocked slabs stand to be seen at the Flora Marble gallery in Vile Parle East, Mumbai, a few minutes from the airport (open mon–sat, 10 am – 7 pm); a catalogue stone is sourced to order and shown to you before you commit. Every slab is cut and polished at our own factory at Athal, Silvassa, where buyers are welcome.
Does Flora Marble deliver Deccan Jasper to Chennai?
Yes. Deccan Jasper leaves the Silvassa factory by road for every state in India, Chennai, Kolkata and Pune included, crated and strapped for the journey. Each city has its own page with the road distance from the factory and the Mumbai gallery and how an order from there usually runs.
How is Deccan Jasper priced?
Per project, slab by slab: the slabs selected, their sizes, the finish and the cutting all move the figure, so there is no list price online. Send the drawings or the areas and the finish you have in mind and Flora Marble will quote the Deccan Jasper it would select for you, with photographs of those slabs.
